Many people have asked us how we got started, so here is our story: Whilst attending post-natal classes, it came to my attention that the mothers in my group asked a lot of questions about varied topics to do with raising children.  But there was no single source of information that they could all refer to.  As the classes continued, it occurred to me that I could put something together in a magazine form.  After doing a bit of research into similar publications across England, I came to the conclusion that although it was a good idea, and was needed in the area, it would be too much of a task for me to do on my own.  I had struck up a friendship with a lady called Nicky who also had a little boy.  I told her about my idea and she was so enthusiastic and encouraging it just had to be done!  The original plan was to launch the first issue in December, but ended up being filled up so quickly that we moved it forward to September 2002, and then the first issue of Cotswold Family Life was produced.  Michelle, Joint Editor.
